Learning Statistics with R - A tutorial for Psychology Students and other Beginners

This is a free online textbook on LibreTexts project. It goes through all the introductory topics in statistics and I frequently referred to this book for basic concepts while I was studying LSR textbook. This book provides a good introduction to the field of statistics and R language. I am personally not a fan of more casual tone that the author took in this book but all the explanations were very detailed and I think people with zero background in statistics can probably start with this book (or other introductory statistics books in LibreTexts) before jumpin onto LSR.
